(More customer reviews)I've had a pair of these for about 6 months now, and am thinking about selling them. With the units on, and no music playing (and without the RCAs connected), there is quite a noticeable hiss. They even pick up a radio station which I can hear through the hiss. I had them looked at by the EPOZ guys (I live near them), and they couldn't offer any explanation or fix. Apparently this is fairly common with powered speakers, but I don't know how people put up with it. I often like to listen to quiet ambient music, which I simply can't do with these speakers. Thumping house music at loud volume however sounds great - good bass and high end. They look pretty good on my desk too. Going back to an amp setup.
