(More customer reviews)The Mirage S10 goes far deeper than my Def Techs 7002s. I disconnected the subwoofers from the 7002s and 2500 Def Tech center channel speaker. Right out of the box the difference in bass was obviously powerfull. All the remaining speakers are more than satisfactory. Many adjustments are needed to balance the crossover on the sub with the receiver. I used the auto calibration on the Denon. Not exactly sure yet but 80hz is recommended. If it's bass heavy and the dialogue not clear enough i reduced it. Then manually i increased the center channel level. Many other speakers that you personally like will work with this sub as they are very subjective. Listen to different brands if you can and decide. And, I don't work for Mirage. Saw the sub on Amazon for $389.79 and pulled the trigger.... I purchased the Def Techs on Amazon in October and November respectively. Yes,I auditioned the Def Techs in a big box store and thought they sounded superb. The towers have 300watt class D amps. With 12"subs in them and 8"sub in center. At home they simply weren't as good as store demo. Sure, there's bass from these speakers and i paid $679.00 each and $499.00 for the 2500 center. Surrounds also from Amazon at $179.00 a pair. The Mirage S10 is a very powerfull subwoofer!
