(More customer reviews)Speech is clear and unaffected even when bass is high. Some of the cheaper surround sound systems I've had were hard to understand when there was an action scene and dialogue. This one has all the speakers working in harmony, with the dialogue cutting through the heavy bass, it's pretty impressive.
I also like this set because my living room currently is only sensible to have a 5.1 system. I hope to move into a bigger home at some point, so with my 7.2 capable receiver, I'll be able to expand with this set (to at least 7.1, but I can't imagine ever going to 7.2 - this single bass is good enough on its own).
All that being said, this is my first expensive surround sound system, so I may just have some shock factor.
