SilverStone TJ10-BW Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Retail (Black) Review

I bought this case for a home PC build with an Intel Core i7 CPU.
The quality of this case is absolutely amazing. The steel and aluminum material are excellent and not cheap and flimsy like some of the plastic covers out there.
This case is big, it is not very tall, but it is long, so keep that in mind. It has plenty of space for HDD's and the various components; with the large size providing ample room for good airflow. I particularly like the PSU being at the bottom because the motherboard and the add-on cards are easier to work with -- after you've put in the removable motherboard tray and don't want to take it out.
About the only thing I would change in this case would be to allow more space between the back cover and the chassis/motherboard tray so that you can route cables around the back easier. I routed as many of the cables behind the motherboard as I could, but some of the power cables are too thick and won't fit. As it is, the build is very tidy and clean with the window providing a nice look into the case.
Highly Recommended!

The sound was not as deep and engulfing as I had hoped, but I really did like this unit!
Maybe I had ipod like expectations. And when I exhale the bubbles are dominant.
But on more common dives, it's really a fun thing to bring along! :)

SilverStone FT01B-W Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Uni-Body Computer Case with Window Side Panel - Retail (Black) Review

Let me start by saying this is an awesome mid-sized tower computer case. However, there are a few flaws. I'm gonna keep it short but sweet:
Pros: Plenty, I won't go into details, but here's a quick list: Compact, easy to assemble/use, outstanding airflow capabilities, positive airflow, dust shields, heat absorption material on the side panels, as well as the clear side panels so you can keep an eye on your water coolers (if applicable), plenty of rom bays and well as 7 hard drive bays!
Cons (hoping SilverStone will read it and make the corrections on future models):
- A little tight, if you're an overclocker, and size is not an issue, I hear there's a full size version of the Fortress available. Look for it. I could have used a little more space, but it was sufficient for what I needed it for. Not really Silverstone's fault, but my fault for not looking to see if there's a larger size. Just letting you other guys know in case you're thinking of which size to go with. If size is not an issue, go with the bigger one. But this one still rocks!
- CP05 hot swapable SATA 2 adapters. One came with the case, but just as a teaser. I didn't care much for it because I did not need hot swapable drives, but when it came to cable management to make the cables in the back neat, it became a nightmare without these things. I kinda wish I had 5 more for all 6 drives. Went online to search for it and they do sell them, however the ones on the market now are straight connectors and not the 90 degree angled one that came with the case. What a tease! I called Silverstone and they said they don't have nor do they make one that came with the case. Bummer!
- Hard drive brackets not tool-less! "Why, oh why?!? They could have come up with a better design for this!" -- my exact thoughts while I was putting in the 24 screws (4 for each of my drives) for my 6 drive setup.
- 5.25 drive bays, quick lock/release mechanism, nice! But the contruction needed work. It didn't line up correctly with a 3rd party fan control unit, so I had to switch it out and use their brand. Also, their instructions didn't mention the locking hooks on the back side, so I was fumbling with it for a little bit till I figured it out.
Overall, awesome product and I still give it 5 stars. Just wish the little stuff mentioned above were done better. Hope this helps someone. And if anyone knows where to get the CP05 with the 90 degree connector, like the one that came with the case, please let me know!!!! Share!

SilverStone Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case TJ09S - Retail (Silver) Review

I have owned numerous Antec 900's for a while now, and was very happy with them. Since purchasing a amd 1090t, a gtx 480, 2 terrabytes of HD's, 8 gigs of ddr3... my case has been a bit over stuffed, and it was very visible in the temperature in the case. Even at full speed on the fans, the MCP was hovering at 168, HD's at 105, and CPU at 89. (massive thermal take cpu cooler). I tried to purchase the antec 1200 for the extra space and cooling, but none were in stock... I saw a few reviews on this one, and decided I would give it a shot.
Over all, it is a very well thought out system. Temps are better now, HD's 95, MCP 140, CPU 66. There is a dedicated GPU cooler, with air ducts on the side. VERY nice idea, and works well. (I dont have a before temp to compare with, but just placing my hand near it there is a significant differance).
In pretty much every mid atx case you will run into a lot of issues of the GTX 260/gtx 480's not fitting, or being too snug. In this case, there is about 4 inches between the end of my 480, and the gpu cooler.
Some key things I liked about this... BAGS of spare screws... They didn't skimp on them at all. There is plenty in there to build your system 6x over and still have spare screws.
I like the sideways mount HD's with the 120mm fan in there. I like how the PSU is at the bottom. I like the ample space all around EVERY component.
If you buy this case, you MUST also buy 3 - 120mm fans. (2 for the top, 1 for the HD bays)
The only real issue now.... I need more hardware to make it not look so empty. I might also need to re-enforce my desk, as this thing is HEAVY.

I have built dozens of HTPCs over the years. This is the second time I have had the pleasure of using this case in a build. Out of all the prefab HTPC cases, this is the only one I have run across that would be worthy to be used in my own system. Everything is remarkably thick and is built heavy duty. The case is tall enough for nearly any aftermarket cooler. Be forewarned that extra long video cards and power supplies may not fit so measure accordantly.

SilverStone TJ10B-WNV TJ10 NVIDIA Edition Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case (Black) Review

SilverStone TJ10B-WNV TJ10 NVIDIA Edition Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case (Black)

Part of me feared that I was nuts to spend the amount of funds that I spent on this computer case, but after it arrived, and I installed my X58 SLI motherboard into it, I was delighted to discover all of this case's well thought-out features. It was truly a luxury to slide out the motherboard tray from the chassis and install my motherboard onto just the tray itself. Note that you must install the spacer screws into the tray first so that your motherboard does not make contact with the chassis.
The main reason that I purchased this computer case is that I wanted to cool down my nVidia GTX 295 card that was running at 75 degrees celcius in my old, cheap, single-fan computer case. After installing everything into the SilverStone TJ10B-WNV case, my GTX 295 ran at 49 degrees celcius! The five fans that are included with the SilverStone case reduced the operating temp of my video card by 26 degrees celcius!! I WAS going to invest in an expensive water-cooled system to cool down all of the boards, but now I don't have to!
One thing that you should note before purchasing this case is that it is not only tall, but also very deep! At first, I tried placing this case under my computer desk, where my former case resided; but this SilverStone case stuck out five inches in front of the desk even though I had pushed the case all the way to the back of the desk. I wound up placing the case to the side of my computer desk instead of under it. The extra space is well utilized, however, as that is how the case keeps the airflow moving and the hot power supply and disk drives away from the boards.
The bottom line is that I am happy to own the SilverStone TJ10B-WNV, and I love the nVidia theme that is silkscreened on the case. I also don't regret spending the extra money on this case as it is the Rolls-Royce of computer cases! Considering that you can cool down all of your boards with just this case instead of buying an expensive water-cooling system, you actually get a lot of bang for your bucks.
P.S. The up-charge for the nVidia theme is more than made up for by the inclusion of five (5) fans instead of just two (2) fans like the non-nVidia-themed version of this case. (i.e. the SST-TJ10B-W)

SilverStone TJ10-B Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Retail (Black) Review

Well designed lightweight case with high quality quiet fans. While the case is large on the inside, it is mostly empty. This does allow for good air flow to help cool the inside components. However, there are only 6 slots for internal hard disks, 8 would be a better number for a case this large. The price of this case is also one of its big drawbacks. At $350, it is definitely one of the most expensive cases I have ever bought. There are many cases that will satisfy the need for a quiet case on a lower budget.
