(More customer reviews)I replaced my very powerful, reliable but terrible sounding Alpine MRP-m350. This amp is very small I installed it under the seat in my car. I have it running an 2ohm 10" subwoofer in an very small Enclosure. It is crossed over at about 75 hz with 6db of boost at 40 hz.I am just using the stock electrical system with the exception of a .o7 Farad cap. Wile the Arc Audio and the Alpine put out about the same power the Arc Audio amp sounds 100 times better. The amp is clean, clear, detailed, and powerful and clips very gracefully. There is so much detail in the bass now. I can clearly hear the bass guitar separated from the kick drum. The clean bass makes my Focal speakers sound better. I love the bass remote I use it all the time. Plays low with rap loud with rock and controlled and tight with jazz. Not as powerful as the old Orion and PPI amps but much more musical than both. This is an excellent amp for folks that love music. If you are just looking for max spl there are more powerful amps in this price range.
The Pros. Small size (will fit on a motorcycle). Very efficient especially at low listening levels(not quite as efficient as class d.)Very musical amp (no class D unnatural sounding distortion). Remote bass control works grate. Will put out rated power when asked and won't kill your battery in 5 minutes.
The Cons. Pricey for the wattage. Not quite as dynamic as some other quality amps at low levels. Fan noise is noticeable when playing hard hitting music. Performance fads quickly as battery voltage drops.
I did not think they made amps of this quality under a grand. I am impressed. Makes me want to try out their bigger amps.
