(More customer reviews)This amp destroys anything I've owned before. I know what phenomenal bass is, and I know what kind of bass I've been after at home, and this amp was the final piece of the puzzle. The sub I had previous was a Klipsch 12" 450 watt sub, it did it's job, but the amp started to blow fuses and I couldn't figure out why, until I saw a cracked circuitboard, the vibration from the bass destroyed the internal amplifier...whatever. So I gutted the klipsch of its crappy factory 12" woofer and installed a 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch dual 4ohm voice coil sub-woofer, I just needed an amp to push it. I kept searching for a decent mono, sub-amp, I knew they were out there, just hard to find, then I came across this monster. I read the positive reviews and decided to go for it...friend, I cannot tell you how under-rated this amp is! I was so impressed with the depth this thing unleashed in my sub, that I knew I wouldn't be happy unless I got a second 12" sub, so I bought a 12" Alpine R dual 4 ohm voice coil sub and a ported box; and let me just say, I believe firmly that you need two subs to get the enveloping effect, I've been listening to subs for too long now, and although bass is supposed to be omni-directional, I can always tell in which corner of the room the sub is sitting. The only caution note I can give is, if your going to run 4ohm dual voice coil subs like me, don't expect to run the voice coils in parallel and pull a two ohm load from the amp, she will get mad at you and shut-down! This is a 4ohm load "max" amplifier, to combat this situation in my own setup, I ended up wiring the subs in a series pattern so that they are actually pulling an 8 ohm load, but make no mistake, this in no way lessons the raw brutallity that this amp unleashes. I just watched the movie "How To Train Your Dragon", great movie, the soundtrack provided great bass effects, and I thought I had heard the depth that my setup could chug out throughout this adventure, until they revealed, the HUGE dragon...HO-LY CRAP!
