Wilson Electronics 65 dB In Building 1900 MHz Wireless Cellular Amplifier Kit Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)My Cell phone and EVDO broadband air Card service is with Sprint, but the nearest tower from my home was 6 miles away and down in a valley. My phone would roam most of the time on Verizon's tower which is only 1 mile away. Broadband EVDO aircard coverage was totally absent. After reading reviews and requirements for the Wilson Amplifier kit, I decided on trying it to see if it really worked. I installed it according to the instructions and was really amazed at the improvement in signal strength. My phone and EVDO broadband signal strength jumped from one bar, while standing on the roof of my house, to 5 bars (out of 6) while inside my house. The Signal strength holds at that level up to 60' away from the inside antenna before it starts losing strength. I have not had any missed calls or dropped calls since the installation. Also, my Broadband EVDO air card works very well for web surfing and on my employer's VPN network.
In short, I would recommend this kit for home use for those who are in the fringe areas of a cell network. But, before you order this kit, the requirements state that you must have at least one bar of signal strength from your cellular provider (not a roaming signal from another provider) on your cell phone for it to work properly.
